ACTORS HOUSE

ACTORS HOUSE named after B.A.Yusupova. Opened in 1970 in Ufa at the Bashk. branch of the All Russia Theatrical Society (ref. Creative Unions), since 2002 — has borne the name of B.A.Yusupova. It has a hall for 300 seats, dressing rooms, a library, a conference hall, offices for creative sections, and a cafe. The A.h. holds exhibitions of young theatrical artists, memorial evenings, discussions of theatrical premieres, creative evenings for veterans of the stage, annually since 2000 — the Republican festival of informal theater actors’ parties called “Merry Backstage”, since 2008 — Republican Contest of Poetic Readers “Word Master”, since 2017 — Republican intellectual contest for the connoisseurs of theatrical art “SmART”.
