MIRAS
MIRAS (Heritage), folk song and dance ensemble. Created in 1992 in Ufa as a dance ensemble. Founder and first art director was G.V.Anishchenko. In 2007, the ensemble added a choir, and in 2009 – a troupe of Russian folk dance Zabava. The repertoire of the vocal and choreographic compositions reflected folk traditions and rituals: The Legacy of Salavat, Batyry of Arkaim, Yu- asa, Frisky, The Bells of Russia, Khava Nagila, etc; choreographic compositions: Needlewomen, Silifke, Malambo, Yablochko, Festive, By the Sea; vocal pieces: Dilya, Yalsygol, Kakhym-Turya, as well as various international songs. Miras is a Laureate of Berdemlek–Sodruzhestvo International Festival of Folk Cultures (Ufa, 1993; Grand Prix) and other folk festivals (Milan, Italy, 1997; Madrid, Merida; both – in 2004, Teruel, 2006, Grand Prix; all – Spain; Elvas, Portugal, 2004, 2006), etc.
