NURIMANOVSKY RAION
NURIMANOVSKY RAION, located in the central part of the RB. Established on August 20, 1930, under the name of Staro Kulevsky Raion. Since September 20, 1933 the current name. Abolished on February 1, 1963, the territory was transferred to Nurimanovsky Industrial Raion. Newly estab lished on January 13, 1965. Territory – 2,512 km2. Adm. centre – Selo Krasnaya Gorka, which is located 100 km NE of Ufa and 50 km of the Iglino Railway Station. Population – 20.1 thous. people (2017).
In 2018, the area of agricultural lands amounted to 44.3 thous. ha (18.0% of the total area), including arable lands – 20.9, hayfields – 12.3, pastures – 11.1; forest area – 195.5 and surface waters – 3.6. Agricultural enterprises [9 OOOs, more than 40 peasant (farmer) farms] specialize in the cultivation of grain crops, vegetable growing, dairy and meat cattle breeding, horse breeding, sheep breeding and bee-keeping. There is Nurimanov skoye Forestry Enterprise on the territory of the Raion. Also, there are: Priufim skaya Thermal Power Plant – site of Pav lovskaya Hydroelectric Power Station, OOO Krasny Klyuch, Istok, Sarva (production of bottled water), etc. Highways: Ufa—Iglino—Krasnaya Gorka and Blagoveshchensk—Pavlovka—Krasnaya Gorka cross the territory.
There are: 14 general education schools, 3 pre‑school educational institutions, a children’s music school; a central hospital and a rural hospital, 2 medical outpatient clinics, 22 medical and obstetrical centers, Pavlovsky Children’s Health Resort; the Central Palace of Culture, 24 clubs, 23 libraries, a local history museum; more than 60 camps, including the Pavlovsky Park Resort, the Bashkir Ritsa, Vremena Goda, Bukhta Kila and Tikhy Bereg camps. There are: 3 exemplary and 8 folk amateur art groups.
