PALATNIKOV, Alexander Samoylovich
PALATNIKOV, Alexander Samoylovich (11.12.1923, Moscow – 29.11.2007, ibid.), Industrialist. Merited Mechanical Engineer of the BASSR (1983), Merited Aircraft Builder (1983). Laureate of the State award of the USSR (1978). Awarded with the Order of Lenin (1982), the Order of the October Revolution (1976), the 1st Class Order of the Patriotic War (1945), the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1971), and the Order of the Red Star (1944). Participant in the Great Patriotic War. Graduated from the Moscow Aviation Technical Institute (1952). Between 1966–87, he worked at Kumertau Aviation Production Association (since 1967 as General Dir.). Under the leadership of P., the enterprise was reorganized to manufacture aircraft equipment, and started to produce helicopters (Ka-26, Ka-27, Ka-28, Ka-29, Ka-32, etc), unmanned (including “Reis” aircraft), assault-landing and other aviation equipment.
