TAKUMBETOV, Makhmut Iskhakovich [8.2.1916, Derevnya Kuzeyevo of Belebeyevsky Uyezd of Ufa Gub. (Buzdyaksky Raion of the RB) – 25.5.1989, Ufa], Economist. Dr. of Economics (1971), Full Professor (1974). Merited Master of Sciences of the BASSR (1968). Awarded with the Order of the Badge of Honour (1966, 1975). Participant in the Great Patriotic War. Graduated from the Uzbekistan Institute of National Economy (Samarkand, 1936). Between 1956–86, he worked at the Bashkir branch of the AS USSR. Scientific studies are devoted to the problems of economic accountability and financial motivation, the expansion of reproduction. The Academy of Sciences of the RB established an award named after him.
