AKHMETOV Khusain Fayzullayevich (6.1.1914–8.1.1993), composer, musical and public figure. One of the region’s first professional composers. In his works, he developed the traditions of Bashkir folk music using the peculiarities of uzunkyuy. Among his works is the ballet “Mountain Eagle” (coauthored), dedicated to Salavat Yulayev. A. composed more than 100 Bashkir folk songs and tunes, one of the versions of the songs “Azamat”, “Kuvatov”, “Kamalek”, “Zulkhizya”, etc. were recorded. He was one of the compilers and authors of the introductory article and commentaries of the book “Bashkort khalk yyrdary”, etc.
