BAIK, TV competition

“BAIK”  (“Bajyk”)  i s   a    r e g i o n a l   t e l e v i s i o n     c o m p e t i t i o n     o f B a s h k i r d a n c e  p e r f o r m e r s. It has been held annually since 2008 in Ufa in order to promote and preserve Bashkir folk dance, preserve and develop local dance traditions, etc. It is held in 3 rounds. Amateur dancers from Bashkortostan, other regions of the Russian Federation, and abroad participate in the competition. Since 2010, it has also been held among children aged 3–15.
