HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL CENTERS
HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL CENTERS, public organizations, branches of the House of Peoples’ Friendship. They were established in places where ethnicities live in groups (Bashkirs, Belarusians, Latvians, Mari, Mordovians, Germans, Russians, Tatars, Udmurts, Ukrainians, and Chuvash) or in places associated with famous persons (S.T. Aksakov, M.G. Gareev, KanzafarBiy, M.I. Tsvetaeva). The center’s main lines of operation: organization and holding of various holidays, festivals of folk art, anniversaries of famous figures, researchtopractice conferences, creation of folklore groups, collection of materials on local history, etc. In the region, there are 17 centers (as of 2019): Kanzafar-Biy Bashkir Historical and Cultural Center, Musa Gareyev Bashkir Historical and Cultural Center, Saitbaba, Temyasovo, Aksakov historical and cultural center, Krasny Yar, St. Nicolas temple, Tsvetaeva literary historical and cultural center, Belarusian historical and cultural center, Latvian historical and cultural center, Mari historical and cultural center, Mordovian historical and cultural center, German historical and cultural center, Tatar historical and cultural center, Udmurt historical and cultural center, Ukrainian historical and cultural center, Chuvash historical and cultural center.
