NARSPI
“NARSPI”, Chuvash folklore and ethnographic ensemble of the center of culture and folk-art of Ufa. Established in 1986 at Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography; in 1987 it became S. Ordzhonikidze Palace of Culture; it has had its current status since 2001. In 1991 it was titled “People’s.” The repertoire includes a vocal and choreographic suite “Ploughing Festival”; theatrical ritual compositions: “Seeing off recruits”, “Visit”, “Autumn feast”, “Chuvash wedding”; round dance compositions with the elements of folk games and dances: “Trinity”, “Games”, “White birch”, “Spring round dance”, “Beyond the outskirts”; dances: “Narspi”, “Embroiderers”, etc., as well as Chuvash folk songs, works by modern composers.
The ensemble was awarded the order of N.V. Nikolskiy (2013). Winner of the international, national, and other festivals and competitions.
