UDMURTS ETHNIC CULTURAL CENTER

UDMURTS ETHNIC CULTURAL CENTER in Bashkortostan, a NGO established in Novye Tashly in 1996. A member of “Udmurt Council” All-Udmurt Association. Combines Udmirts public cultural centers of Baltachevskiy, Buraevskiy, Ermekeevskiy, Ilishevsky, Kaltasinskiy, Kushnarenkovskiy, Tatyshlinskiy, Yanaulskiy Districts and Neftekamsk. The center organizes festivals, exhibitions, meetings with scientific and cultural luminaries. Events held under the auspices of UECC: Days of Udmurt Culture, “Precious Deposits”, Inter-Regional Contest of Young Udmurt Singers “Rising Stars”, “Belle” beauty contest among Udmurt young women, etc. Hosts the folk bands “Merry Evening”, “Solovushka”, men’s vocal folk band “Eagle” (all in Tatyshlinskiy District), “Celestial Melody” (Kaltasinskiy District), “Carnation”  (Buraevskiy  District),  etc.  The “City of All Trades” summer camp has been running since 2003 (Vyazovka, Tatyshlinskiy District).
