BAIK‑AYDAR [real name: Baik Ablayev, according to other data, Baymukhamet Baynazarov; 1734, according to other data, 1710; Derevnya Munaevo of Murzalarskaya Volost of Sib. Doroga (now Derevnya Arkaulovo of Salavatsky Raion of the RB); according to other data, Derevnya Makhmutovo of the same volost (now Salavatsky Raion) — ca. 1815], Sesen. According to the kubair Appeal of Baik-sesen to Batyr Salavat, he called the Bashkirs to participate in the Peasant War of 1773—75. At the beginning of the Patriotic War of 1812, B.a. addressed the Bashkir soldiers, who went to defend their Motherland, with the kubair titled Baik-sesen Appeared Again: an Explanation About the Brotherhood Feelings to the People. The B.a.’s creative heritage includes the following songs: Baik, Akhmet Baik, Song of Baik-sesen, If You Are Eget..., etc. Also, he is associated with the Baik dance emergence. The 2nd part of the sesen’s name – “Aydar” (in Bashkir — reputable, respected by all) was given to him by the people. According to legend, the B.a.’s grave is located near Derevnya Idelbayevo 1st of Salavatsky Raion. The Arkaulovskaya secondary school is names after him. In 2010, the Yiyin Baika folk festival dedicated to the B.a.’s 300th Anniversary was held in Salavatsky Raion.
