GAINETDINOV, Yulay Ishbuldovich (b.8.1.1954, Selo Verkhnetavlykayevo of Baimaksky Raion of the BASSR), Kurai Player. People’s Artist of the RB (1994), Merited Worker of Culture of the RF (2003) and BASSR (1988). Laureate of the RB State Award named after Salavat Yulayev (2002). After the graduating from the BSU (1968), he worked there. Since 1978, he worked at the Statistics Directorate of the BASSR, since 1984 – as a Teacher at the special school of music at USIA, since 1989 – at the Republican Scientific Methodical Centre, since 1991 – the Leader of Hazina Creative Association at GUP Tele‑ and Radio‑ Company Bashkortostan. He has mastered the kurai playing techniques and continues the traditions of the folk kurai players of the Bashk.Trans‑Urals. His repertoire includes instrumental versions of more than 300 pieces of Bashk. musical folklore. He is the author and host of TV programs, dedicated to musical folklore, choreography and folk performers.
