GALIMOV, Khabir Latypovich (5.2.1905, Derevnya Lagirevo of Zlatoustovsky Uyezd of Ufa Gub., now Selo Lagerevo of Salavatsky Raion of the RB, – 20.2.1996, Ufa), Singer (lyrical and dramatical tenor). Merited Artist of the RSFSR (1947) and BASSR (1942). Awarded with the Order of the Badge of Honour (1944, 1955). After graduating from the Bashk. Studio at Moscow Conservatory (1938), he worked as a Soloist of Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre, between 1955—65 — at Bashk. Philharmonia. One of the founders of prof. opera performance in Bashkortostan. He possessed a soft voice of warm timbre and a pronounced lyrical gift. His artistic skill is inherent in natural simplicity and naturalness.
