INSTITUTE OF HERBICIDES AND PLANT GROWTH REGULATORS at the AS RB, a research and technology institute with a pilot and experimental production site. Located in Ufa. Established in 1964. Main activities: improvements of technologies, and formulae of active chemical plant protection agents; studies of physical and chemical properties and biological activity of pesticides (including ultra dispersible ones), mechanical activation of substances with different types of linkage; biological tests of herbicides and fungicides, etc. The scientists of the Institute have developed technological methods of electrochemical synthesis of a number of pharmaceutical products and polymeric materials foaming agents; they have produced more than 50 medicines and obtained more than 500 invention certificates and more than 90 patents of the RF. The Institute’s experimental production site produces 700—1000 tons of chemical plant protection agents per year.
