KUNAKOVA, Rayhana Valiullovna (b.9.9.1946 in Mednogorsk), Chemical Technologist. Acad. of the AS RB (2012), D.Sci. (Chemical Sciences) (1989), Full Professor (1991). Merited Scientist of the RB (1997), Merited Worker of Science and Technology of the RF (2006). After graduating from the Urals Polytechnic Institute (Sverdlovsk, 1969) she worked at the Ufimsky Plant of Communication Equipment, since 1970 — in the IOC. Since 1991 at the Institute of Economics and Service of USPTU (between 1997—2003 as Vice‑Rector for Scientific Research); simultaneously, since 2006 in the AS RB: Chief Academic Secretary, since 2011 Vice‑President. Her scientific research is dedicated to the aspects of complex metal catalysis in the organic synthesis. K. has developed methods of heterocyclization of dienes and acetylene for the production of sulphides, sulfoxides and macrocyclic sulphur‑organic compounds. Chief Editor of the The Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the Repub- lic of Bashkortostan (between 2005—06 and since 2016).
