It has a theme‑alphabetical structure, consists of 2 sections: The Peoples of Bashkortostan are One Family, Eth- nology in Bashkortostan. The book contains information on ethnogenesis, ethnic history, territorial settlement of the peoples of the region, their numbers, language, traditional spiritual and material culture, social structure, current status of the people in the territory of the RB. The encyclopaedia also includes articles describing ethnological concepts, scientific and cultural institutions, outstanding scientists‑ethnographers, local historians who contributed to the study of the peoples of Bashkortostan. Contains bibliographic and annotated indexes. The annexes contain tables reflecting the data from the All‑Russia population census for 2002 and 2010, Peoples of Bashkortostan State program, etc.
