RALL, Yury Fyodorovich (17/29.3.1890, Ufa— 16.9.1948, Leningrad), Military Leader. Vice Admiral (1941). Awarded with the 3rd Class with swords and bow and 4th Class Order of St. Anna, the 2nd Class and 3rd Class Order of St. Stanislav, Order of Lenin (1945), Order of the Red Flag (1942, 1944, 1944), the 1st Class Order of Nakhimov (1945); the 2nd Class Order of Ushakov (1944), the 1st Class Order of Patriotic War. Participant of the First World, Civil and Great Patriotic wars. Graduated from the Marine Corps (St. Petersburg, 1912), Navigator Officers Class (Petrograd, 1915), Naval Academy Higher Academic Courses (Leningrad, 1926). Since 1917 Commander of the Podvizhny (Mobile) Destroyer, since 1918 — Captain Izylmetyev Destroyer. Between 1919—21, served in the Headquarters of the Baltic Sea fleet. Since 1923, Commander of the Marat Battleship. Since 1926, Commander of the M.V.Frunze’ Military Naval School. Since 1930 he held senior positions in the management of the Naval Forces of the Red Army of the USSR, between 1932—35 — at the Black Sea Fleet, since 1936 — at the Lenin’ Military Political Academy, since 1939 — at the People’s Commissariat of the Navy of the USSR. Since 1941, Commander of Mine Defense and the Chief of Staff. Since 1943, Commander of the Baltic Fleet Cruisers Squadron, since 1944 — of Kronstadt Sea Defensive Area. Since 1945, he worked at Voroshilov’ Naval Academy.
