TATYSHLINSKY RAION
TATYSHLINSKY RAION, located in the N of the RB. Established on January 31, 1935. Abolished on February 1, 1963, the territory became part of the Yanaulsky Raion. Newly established on December 30, 1966. Territory — 1,376 km2. Adm. centre — Selo Verkhniye Tatyshly, which is located 209 km N of Ufa and 25 km SE of the Kueda Railway Station in Perm Kray. Population — 22.7 thous. people (2017).
In 2018, the area of agricultural lands amounted to 76.4 thous. ha (55% of the total area), including arable lands — 51.4, hay — 7.0, pastures — 17.7; forest area — 52.2 and surface water — 0.6. Agricultural enterprises [9 APCs, 3 OOOs, 22 peasant (farmer) farms] specialize in the cultivation of grain crops, dairy and meat cattle breeding. Horse breeding and beekeeping are well-developed. On the territory of the raion, there are: a veterinary station and a laboratory. There are: the Vozrozhdyeniye Brick Plant, MUP Tatyshlinsky Butter-Producing Plant, Tatyshlinskaya Machinery, etc. Highways Buraevo—Starobaltachevo—Kueda and Yanaul—Verkhniye Tatyshly cross the territory.
There are: a branch of Bashkir North Western Agricultural College; 14 general education schools, 29 pre-school institutions; a children’s music school, the Batyr Teenage Club; a central hospital, 5 rural outpatient clinics, 36 medical and obstetrical centers; a recreation centre, 26 clubs, a film and video network, 25libraries, the A.K.Atnabayev and G.Sokoroya museums and a local history museum. In the raion, there are 12 folk and 7 exemplary amateur art groups.
