CONSUMER GOODS INDUSTRY
CONSUMER GOODS INDUSTRY, the total of industries, associated with the production of mainly articles of mass consumption. Apart from ready‑to‑use products, the consumer goods industry produces semifinished products, intermediate products and materials for other enterprises. The RB is represented by textile, garment, leather, fur and footwear, tanning extractive industries. The largest industry enterprises: Agidel Bashkir Arts and Crafts Enterprise, Sandra and Almazik footwear factories (children’s footwear; both – in Davlekanovo), Neftekamsk Leather Haberdashery Factory, Personal Protection Clothing Factory (Ufa), Neftekamsk Artificial Leather Production Association, Uchaly Garment Factory, Ishimbay Stocking Factory, Ishimbay Knitwear Factory, Polye dron (making bags and leather goods), etc. Synthetic tanning extracts for leather, fur and footwear industries are produced by OAO Dubitel (Ufa).
