GERASIMENKO, Sergey Andreyevich

GERASIMENKO, Sergey Andreyevich (14.5.1906, Derevnya Guta Muravinka of Oryol Gub. – 17.8.1999, Ufa), Industrialist. Merited Master of Sciences and Technology of the BASSR (1966), Merited Mechanical Engineer of the RSFSR (1979). Awarded with the Order of Lenin (1966, 1976), Order of the October Revolution (1971), Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1957), Order of the Red Star (1947). After graduating from the Moscow Mechanical and Machine Building Institute named after N.E.Bauman (1935), he worked at Plant No.26, since 1941 – at the Bashkir Obl. Committee of ACP(b); since 1948 Dir. of Plant No.85, between 1953–81 Gen. Dir. of UAPO (all – in Ufa). Under the leadership of G., the automation and mechanization of the production process was introduced, the flow line conveyor method was implemented; the Ufa Plant of Electrical Products was built at UAPO (1975).
