HEAD OF THE RB

HEAD OF THE RB, the highest official of the RB. Represents the Republic in relations with the President of the RF, the Federation Council and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the RF, the Government of the RF, other federal bodies of state power, bodies of state power of constituent entities of the RF, bodies of state power of the RB, bodies of local self government, public associations, other organizations and officials, and in the implementation of foreign economic and international relations. The position of H. of the RB was introduced in 2015 as a result elimination of the title President of the RB. H. of the RB guarantees the realization of human and civil rights and freedoms, protects economic and political interests, ensures the rule of law; determines the basic directions of social and economic development; forms, heads and decides on the Government of the RB resignation; with the consent of the State Assembly—Kurultay of the Republic of Bashkortostan appoints the Prime Minister; determines the structure of executive bodies of state power; introduces bills; creates the Administration of Head of the RB and forms the Public Security Council of the RB, etc. H. of the RB should be a citizen of the RF, not younger than30 years old, speaking official languages of the RB. H. of the RB is vested with powers by State Assembly—Kurultay of the RB for the period of 5 years on the recommendation of the President of the RF. President of the RB — M.G.Rakhimov (since 1993). Heads of the RB: R.Z.Khamitov (between 2010—14 — President of the RB, since 2015 — Head of the RB) and R.F.Khabirov (Temporary Acting Head of the RB since 2018).
