GUBAYDULLIN, Kamil Gubayevich (9.12.1949, Ishimbay — 15.7.2017, Ibid.), Graphic Artist. Distinguished Artist of the RF (2004) and BASSR (1997). Laureate of the RB State Award named after Salavat Yulayev (1977). Graduated from the Tashkent School of Art named after P.P.Benkov (1969). Since 1980, he lived and worked in Ishimbay. Since 2004 — a Teacher at USIA. One of the leading masters in the field of graphics, the creator of a new etching movement. G.’s creative work reflects the problems of ecology (Aral series), social development (Ecology of Power triptych), preservation of national traditions (Grandma’s Chest, Bashkir Gothic series) and culture (Bashkir Proverbs and Sayings series). The epic symbolism and poetic metaphor are characteristic of the monumental canvas The Land of Yurmata (in cooperation with R.R.Kadyrov), depicting the key historical events, which took place in the region, under the white dome of the Bashk. yurta. He is one of the founders of the creative group Inzer, founder and Chairman of the Association of the Southern Bashkortostan Artists (ref. Art groups and associations).
