CHILDREN'S MUSIC
CHILDREN'S MUSIC, the music intended for listening or performing by children. In the Bashk. folklore, the C.m. is represented by songs (lullabies, rounds, nursery rhymes, humorous sayings, patters, takmaks, etc), dancing melodies, music games, which laid the foundation of the professional C.m. Between the 1950—60s, the composers of Bashkortostan turned to the genre of instrumental and vocal adaptation of folk songs, composed miniatures that were consonant with folk music: fortepiano music pieces Joke Waltz, Lullaby for a Doll, Dance of Children, cycle Six Music Pieces for Fortepiano by H.Sh.Zaimov, 4 polyphonic miniatures by N.G.Sabitov, etc. Between 1970—90s, the genre enrichment of C.m. occured: ballets, operas, theatrical music, songs, music pieces for orchestra and various instruments. Fortepiano music for children is represented by miniatures, suites and major forms. Music pieces are often united into cycles: 6 preludes by R.Ziganov, 3 preludes by S.R.Salmanov, Kaleidoscope by M.H.Akhmetov, Pictures’ and ‘Home land Melodies by R.H.Gazizov, Intervals by S.G.Shagiakhmetova, etc. The tradition of Children’s Album by P.I.Tchaikovsky was continued by H.Sh.Zaimov and N.G.Sabitov. The chamber instrumental C.m. is also represented by ensembles, the solo repertoire for different instruments is broadened. The themes of children vocal music and choral music are varied: scenes from children’s life, the images of nature, fairy tale plots are reflected in the compositions of H.F.Akhmetov, M.M.Valeyev, N.A.Dautov, Sh.Sh.Ibragimov, S.A.Nizametdinov, K.Yu.Rakhimov, etc. A.K.Berezovsky, R.G.Kasimov, V.N.Klepinin, S.S. Mirolyubov worked in the genre of theatrical music; S.R.Salmanov, etc — in the genre of television plays. The children’s opera is represented in the creative works of A.H.Gabdrakhmanov, R.H.Gazizov, N.A.Dautov, N.G.Sabitov; ballet — in the works of H.F.Akhmetov, R.H.Gazizov, N.G.Sabitov. The key trends of the modern Bashk. C.m. are polystylistics, indirect implementation of folk elements, the emergence of non traditional genres, and utilization of modern composition techniques.
