DZHIGITS OF BASHKORTOSTAN

DZHIGITS OF BASHKORTOSTAN, a horse circus troupe. It was established in 1973 at the Ufa Circus under the name of Merry Hunters on Argamak horses, since 1981 – renamed to D.B.; in 2005, it was liquidated. The first performance with the namesake Dzhigits of Bashkortostan performance took place on September 7th, 1973 in the arena of the Ufa Circus in the program Blossom, Bashkiria!. The script writer and the director is N.P.Barzilovich, stunt coordinators are the People’s Artists of the BASSR Yu.G.Gritsenko and M.S.Sultangareyev. The artists of the troupe performed the most difficult stunts of horseback riding and vaulting with the elements of national horse sport games. M.Yu.Gritsenko, R.A. Kizirgaleyev, S.G.Kireyev, Sultangareyev, and the Shakirovs performed in the first composition. In the 80s, G.V.Suanov, U.S.Sultangareyev, R.R.Sultangareyeva, P.M.Tersenov, S.F.Yarmukhametov joined the troupe, in the 90s – A.D. Ilyasov, I.M.Sultangareyev, I.M.Shaimukhametov, R.R.Shakirov, in 2000s – B.B.Archakov, R.F.Galimov. The Laureate of the Oscar Award of the Royal Circus of Belgium (Brussels, 1995) and the Laureate of the Award named after G.Salyam (1986).
