DIALECT ATLAS OF THE BASHKIR LANGUAGE

DIALECT ATLAS OF THE BASHKIR LANGUAGE, systematized collection of dialect maps, displaying the regions of distribution of Bashkir dialects in their historical development (Ufa, 2005). It was prepared under the leadership of N.H.Maksyutova by a group of linguists of the Institute of History, Language and Literature. It consists of 2 parts: the 1st contains introductory articles, reference materials and comments on maps, the 2nd presents 162 primary maps (reflect the territorial peculiarities of phonetics, morphology, vocabulary and syntax of the language of the Bashkirs living in Bashkortostan, Kurgan, Orenburg, Samara, Saratov, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk oblasts and in Perm Krai) and 7 auxiliary maps (contain information on history, geography, ethnography, onomastics, etc).
