DILMUKHAMETOV (Delmukhametov), Ishmulla Ishgaliyevich (15.9.1928, Derevnya Yakupovo of Zilairsky Canton of the BASSR, now Derevnya Staroyakupovo of Zilairsky Raion of the RB, — 19.10.1984, Ufa), a Kuraist, Singer and Actor. Merited Artist of the RSFSR (1975) and People’s Artist of the BASSR (1973). Laureate of the Salavat Yulayev BASSR Award (1974) and Salyam Award (1970). Between 1943—49, an actor of the Baymak state farm theatre (ref. Sibaysky Drama Theatre), since 1953 — BSAT, between 1966—84 – a kuraist of Bashkortostan Philharmonic. The repertoire consists of the Bashkir folk songs and tunes, including Buranbay, Gilmiyaza, Zulhizya, Syngrau Torna and Ural. As an actor playing romantic theatrical roles, D. created a number of lyrical images, including Sharaf (in Beloved by M.Faizi), Bulat (in Blue Shawl by K.G.Tinchurina), etc. Author of the libretto to the Ural Ilselere opera and other operas, and the following songs: Yilayyrym (My beloved Zilair; lyrics author – D.), Yirzarym (My Songs; lyrics author – M.Jalil), etc. Toured both the USSR and abroad (France, Sweden, Japan, etc).
