SUPPLEMENTARY PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
SUPPLEMENTARY PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION, satisfaction of a person’s educational and prof. needs, prof. development of a person which ensures conformity of a person's qualification to dynamic conditions of prof. activities. S.p.e. is provided through special prof. programs (programs of professional development and prof. retraining) licensed by the sectoral ministry.
In 1900s, teacher training courses at the Teacher’s Institute began to operate in Ufa Gub. of Bashkortostan. In 1919, the first party courses were opened under the Ufa Gub. Committee of the RCP(b). In the 1960s, they were reorganized into Ufa Higher Party School. S.p.e. in Bashkortostan began to develop in the Soviet period with the opening of industry specific schools for advanced training, and with the creation of advanced training and retraining departments at higher educational institutions. In the 1990s, due to the economy transformations, a new system of S.p.e. at the higher educational institutions of the Republic was formed. The provision of more opportunities to secondary professional education institutions led to their integration into this system.
In RB, there are S.p.e. organizations that function at prof. educational organizations, educational institutions of higher education and additional education, industry specific institutions of the Academy of Sciences, Institutes of additional education and training centres. At the Bashkir State University there is an Institute of Continuing Professional Education and Prof. Retraining for executives and specialists. The Aviation Technical University has a Regional Interdisciplinary Centre for Advanced Training and Retraining of Aviation Industry Specialists. The Petroleum Technological University – Institute of Continuing Professional Education for specialists of fuel and energy and construction complexes. The Medical University – Institute of Continuing Professional Education for specialists of health care. The Agrarian University – Institute of Continuing Professional Education for personnel of RB agroindustrial complex. The Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after M.Akmulla – Institute of Continuing Professional Education which offers various educational programs, including general development, advance training and retraining. The Academy of Civil Service and Management – Republican Centre of Prof. Competences for executives and specialists of state and municipal administration, as well as enterprises, organizations and institutions of RB. The Eastern Academy of Economics, Humanities and Law – Centre of Supplementary Education for various specialists. The Institute of Arts – Advance Training and Retraining Courses implemented at specialized departments of creative orientation. The Law In stitute – Advance Training and Retraining Courses for midand top level executives of the internal affairs authorities. In the Republic, there are also: Institute for Education Development in RB, and Bashk. Interdisciplinary Institute of Labour Protection, Ecology and Safety.
In RB, S.p.e. is provided at the Electronic Education of the Republic of Bashkortostan portal with the free access to the electronic resources. This helps to increase the accessibility of education for specialists.
