YERYOMENKO, Nikolay Yakovlevich

YERYOMENKO, Nikolay Yakovlevich (19.4.1913, Selo Beryozovka, Kharkov Gub. – 24.10.1993, Sterlitamak), Industrialist. Merited Chemist of the BASSR (1977). Awarded with the Order of Lenin (1971), Order of the October Revolution (1976), Order of the Badge of Honour (1959). Graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Chemical Technology Institute (1939). Since 1949, he worked at Plant No.18 (Salavat); between 1959–80 – as Dir. of the Sterlitamak Synthetic Rubber Plant. With the participation of Y., a catalyst for dehydrogenation of olefinic and alkylaromatic hydrocarbons and methods of stabilization of polyisoprene were developed and introduced at chemical plants of the country. A street in Sterlitamak was named after Y.
