RAILWAYS

RAILWAYS, rail tracks, intended for movement of special rolling stock (locomotive and cars); an integral part of the unified transport network of the country.

Main railway lines passing through the territory of Bashkortostan:

Kinel–Ufa–Zlatoust (under the jurisdiction of the Kuibyshev and the South Ural railways, 410 km in the territory of the RB). It crosses Ermekeyevsky, Belebeyevsky, Alsheyevsky, Davlekanovsky, Chishminsky, Ufimsky, Iglinsky raions, connecting the Republic with the industrial centers of the European part of Russia, the Volga region, the Urals and Western Siberia. It is one of the key traffic arteries of the RB.

Bugulma–Chishmy (the Kuibyshev Railway, 142 km in the territory of the RB). It passes through Tuymazinsky, Buzdyaksky, Blagovarsky and Chishminsky raions, connecting the Republic with the industrial centers of the Volga region, the Urals, Siberia, and Central Asia.

Karlaman–Beloretsk–Magnitogorsk (the Kuibyshev and the South Ural railways, 310 km in the territory of the RB). It passes through the Karmaskalinsky, Arkhangelsky, Beloretsky, Uchalinsky, Abzelilovsky raions of the RB, connecting the central regions of Russia with the Trans Urals and

Central Asia.

Kazan–Yekaterinburg (the Gorkovskaya Railway, 69 km in the territory of the RB). It passes through the Yanaulsky Raion, connecting the central regions of the RF with the Urals and Siberia.

Dyoma–Ishimbayevo–Tyulgan (the Kuibyshev Railway, 312 km in the territory of the RB). It passes through Ufimsky, Karmaskalinsky, Aurgazinsky, Gafuriysky, Sterlitamaksky, Meleuzovsky, and Kuyurgazinsky raions.

Magnitogorsk–Sibay (the South Ural Railway, 110 km in the territory of the RB). It passes through Abzelilovsky and Baymaksky raions.

Miass–Uchaly (the South Ural Railway, 97 km in the territory of the RB). It passes through Uchalinsky Raion.

Muraptalovo–Sakmarskaya (the SouthUral Railway, 12 km in the territory of the RB). It passes through the Kuyurgazinsky Raion.
