ZAGAFURANOV, Fayzrakhman Zagafuranovich [10.10.1913, Derevnya Suleymanovo of Zlatoustovsk Uyezd of Ufa Gub. (Mechetlinsky Raion of the RB) – 5.9.1975, Ufa], Communist Party Activist. Participant in the Winter War of 1939–40 and the Great Patriotic War. Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1957, 1963), Order of the Red Star (1940), Order of the Badge of Honour (1949). Graduated from the Bashkir Higher Communist Agricultural School (Ufa, 1935) and Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the CPSU (Moscow, 1962). Since 1937, Dir. of Obl. Political Education School (Sterlitamak), since 1943 – of Temyasovsky Teaching College (Baymaksky Raion). Since 1948, 1st Secretary of the Baymaksky Raion Committee of the ACP(b). Between 1950–67, Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the BASSR. Between 1969–71, Chief Arbitrator of the State Arbitration under the Council of Ministers of the BASSR.
