FOREIGN CAMPAIGNS OF THE RUSSIAN ARMY OF 1813–14
FOREIGN CAMPAIGNS OF THE RUSSIAN ARMY OF 1813–14, military campaigns (of the Russian, Austrian, Prussian and Swedish troops alliance), which followed the Patriotic War of 1812, against the French army in the Duchy of Warsaw, the German states and France. Ended with the victory of Russia and her allies.
The Campaigns involved Yekaterinburg, Butyrsky, Rylsky, Ufa Infantry troops, 25th, 30th and 31th Chasseurs, 26th and 29th Grenadier, Orenburg Ulan, 1st, 2nd, 4—16th Bashkir, 2nd Meshcheryak, 1st and 2nd Teptyar, Orenburg Ataman Cossack Tysyachny (Thousandth), 3rd Orenburg Cossack, 3—6th Ural Cossack Regiments and Stavropol Kalmyk Tysyachny Regiment (total approx. 17 thous. people), which were formed on the territory of Bashkortostan. First, they acted as part of the Russian troops, since February 1813 – allied Rus. Prussian troops; participated in the liberation of Berlin, Prague, Weimar, Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main, Holland in the battle near Leipzig (the so called Battle of the Nations), in battles under Breslau, Arcie sur Aux, Kraon, Laon, Soissons, Ferre Champenoise, in the seize of Paris, etc. To the Bashkir soldiers, who participated in Foreign Campaigns, monuments were installed in Germany — in Dresden, Leipzig, in Holland — on the bank of the IJssel River (the Rhein River effluent). The participation of the Bashkirs in the Campaigns was reflected in the legends such as the Bashkir Dzhanturya’s Story, KakhymTurya and in the following songs: Akhmed Baik, Lubizar, Kakhym-Turya, etc.
