ZARIPOV, Irek Ayratovich (b.27.3.1983 in Sterlitamak), Athlete. Merited Master of Sports (biathlon and cross country skiing) of Russia (2010). Awarded with the 4th Class Order for Merits to the Fatherland (2010), the 1st Class Medal of the Order for Merits to the Fatherland (2014), Order for Merits to the Republic Bashkortostan (2010), Order of Salavat Yulayev (2014). A trainee of the Idel Sports Club (Coach – F.N.Gabdullin) and the Sports Master Skill Training Centre of the RB (A.A.Gumerov). The 12.5 km Race and Pursuit Racing Paralympic Champion (2010), the 12.5 km and Sprint World Champion (2011), the World Cup Winner (2008, 2010–11) in the overall ratings, Silver Medalist of the Biathlon Pursuit Racing World Championship (2011). The 10 and 15 km Races Champion, Silver Medalist of the Paralympic Sprint Games (all – 2010), Silver Medalist of the 15 km Race Paralympic Games (2014), the
10 km Race World Champion (2011), Winner of the World Cups (2007—09, 2011) in the overall ratings, the 10 and 15 km Race Silver Medalist (2 times, 2009, 2011) and Sprint Bronze Medalist (2009, 2011), Winner of the World Ski Championships. Participant of the Paralympic Games (2006). Member of the Russian National Team (2005– 14). Deputy of the 5–6th State Assembly– Kurultay (Congress) of the RB.
