ZORIN, Vladimir Viktorovich (b.26.1. 1953 in Ufa), Organic Chemist. Associate Member of the AS RB (1995), D.Sci. (Chemical Sciences) (1984), Full Professor (1987). Merited Master of Sciences of the RF (1998), Merited Educationalist of the Higher Professional Education System of the RF (2003). Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Award (1983) and Komsomol of Bashkiriya Award (1981). After graduating from the UPI (1975) continued his career there, simultaneously, between 1992–98 Deputy Dir. for Scientific Research of the Research Institute of Fine Organic Chemistry (NIITOS). Scientific activity is dedicated to the development of regio- and enantioselective cellular biocatalysts, methods for producing reagents for medicine, agriculture and pharmaceuticals (Prodigiosin, Exoderil, Serravettin, Betulinic, Arachidonic, Eicosapentaenoic acid, etc.) high-octane components of motor fuels, etc.
