IBRAGIMOV, Anvar Kamilevich (b.27.11.1965 in Ufa), Athlete. Merited Sports Master of the USSR (1988), Merited Coach (fencing) of Russia (2004). Distinguished Athlete of the RB (1994). Awarded with the Order of the Badge of Honour (1989), Order of Peoples’ Friendship (2004), the 2nd Class Medal of the Order for Merits to the Fatherland (2003). A trainee of the Voluntary Sports Society Locomotive, the Sports Skills Development School of the RB (Coach – R.I.Ayupov), he competed for the Central Sports Club of the Army. Champion of the Olympic Games (1988), Winner of the World Cups (1988) and Europe (1986, 1989, 1991, 1996–97), Silver (1995) and Bronze (1985) Medalist of the World Team Championships. Bronze Medalist of the World Student Games (1985) and the World Junior Singles Championships (1984). Participant of the Olympic Games (1992). Member of the National Team (1984–98).
