ILGAMOV, Marat Aksanovich (b.8.4.1934 in Selo Yarlykapovo of Abzelilovsky Raion, BASSR), Mechanical Engineer. Associate Member of RAS, Acad. of AS RB (1998), Dr.Sci. (Phys.-Math.) (1970), Full Professor (1972). Laureate of the RB State Award (2003, 2015), RT (2012) in Science and Engineering. Awarded with the Order of the Badge of Honour (1976), Order of Friendship (1995), Order of Salavat Yulayev (2004). On graduation from the UAI (1957) worked in P/B No.100 (Ufa). Since 1962 at the Kazan Research Centre of RAS: Employee of the Phys.-Techn. Institute (since 1989 Deputy Dir.), and the same time in 1977–89 Chairman of the Presidium, since 1991 Dir. of the Mechanical Engineering Institute, at the same time in 1972–85 worked at the Kazan University. Since 1996 Vice-Chairman of the Presidium of USC RAS, at the same time Vice-President, since 2004 President, since 2006 Advisor of the AS RB President, at the same time since 1996 works at the Mechanical Institute, in 2001–09 – at BSU, since 2005 Advisor for RAS. His research activity is dedicated to the mechanics of deformable solids and aerohydroelasticity of shells. Established an aeroand hydroelasticity scientific school. Research results obtained by I. are applied in aerospace and nuclear engineering, shipbuilding, petrochemical and power industry. Chief Editor of the Bashkir Encyclopaedia.
