KARAGAYKUL

KARAGAYKUL, Vorozheich, a lake in the basin of the Uy River, a natural monument (1965). Located 2 km to the S of Selo Voznesenka of Uchalinsky Raion. Surface area — 0.8 km², length — 1 km, width — 0.7 km, aver. depth — 4.5 m. The thickets of cane and reed grow on the shore (there is an island 0.2 km long in the SW). Bupleurum multinerve, Dianthus acicularis, Stipa pennata, Potentilla sericea, Minuartia krascheninnikovii grow here.
