KARAMOVA, Lena Mirzayevna (b.6.2.1939 in Selo Starobaltachevo of Baltachevsky Raion of the BASSR), Occupational Pathologist. Associate Memberof the ASRB (1991),Dr.Sci(Medical Sciences) (1986), Full Professor (1992). Merited Master of Sciences of the RB (1992), Merited Doctor of the RF (2006) and the BASSR (1985), Merited Worker of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Russia (1995). Awarded with the Order of the Badge of Honour (1981), Order for Merits to the Republic of Bashkortostan (2014). After graduating from the BSMI (1962) was Head Doctor of Uchaly Municipal Hospital, between 1966—70 — Head Doctor of Baltachevskaya Central Hospital. Since 1973 at the Ufa NIIMTECh (between 1979—97 as Dir.), simultaneously, between 1975—79 Chairman of the Bashkir Obl. Committee of the Healthcare Workers’ Labour Union, between 1989—98 at the BSMU. Her scientific research is dedicated to issues of adaptation to labour conditions, development of criteria for early detection of occupational diseases, methods for assessment of occupational health damages and determination of the safe‑health length of employment in oil and petrochemical industries, etc.
