KARLYKHANOVSKY

KARLYKHANOVSKY, a zoological wildlife reserve of area 19.3 thous. ha in the territory of Belokataysky Raion. It was organized to restore the populations of game animals and rare animal species (1972). In the wildlife reserve there are true otter, European mink, bittern, gray crane, great gray owl, blindworm, etc, included in The Red List of the RB, as well as golden eagle, oystercatcher, spotted eagle, peregrine falcon, freshwater sculpin, European grayling and other species, included in The Red Lists of the RB and RF.
