KARMANOVSKOYE RESERVOIR
KARMANOVSKOYE RESERVOIR, on the Bui River (a tributary of the Kama River). The dam site is near Selo Karmanovo of Yanaulsky Raion. Built in 1968. Catchment area of the river in the crosssection of the water development — 3820 km2, aver. annual volume of inflow — 669 million m3, full volume — 134 million m3; surface area — 36.5 km2, length — 15 km, aver. width — 2.4 km, aver. depth — 3.8 m. Composition of the water development: medium‑head earth‑fill dam (length — 2,160 m, crest width — 10 m, max. height — 17 m); water intake (4 spans) with flood discharge (length — 78 m, width — 27 m); 3 protection embankments (length — 2,800 m); 2 shore pump stations; 2 water intake facilities of Karmanovskaya State District Power Plant (productivity of 40 and 20 m3/s respectively).
