KILMYAK NURUSHEV
KILMYAK NURUSHEV, one of the leaders of the 1735—40 Bashkir Uprisings (ref. Bashkir Uprising of the 17—18th centuries). Participated in the uprising of 1704—11, as a Member of the Embassy of the Bashkir rebels participated in nego- tiations with the Turkish Sultan and the Crimean Khan in the Crimea. One of the initiators of the All-Bashkir Yiyin (Congress; December, 1734), where a new uprising was discussed. On the territory of Nogay Doroga, he gathered a 3 thous. people detachment, in June 1735 — began the struggle. At the beginning of July, to the south of Zirgantau Mountain, he caused significant damage to the Chirikov’s team, since September together with Akay Kusyumov operated near Ufa. In June 1736, near the Ik River (tributary of the Kama River) the detachment of K.N. defeated the government forces under the command of A.I.Rumyantsev. In February, 1737, he was arrested in Tabynsk Fortress, in 1738 expelled to St. Petersburg.
