COLLECTIONS OF BOOKS AND MANUSCRIPTS
COLLECTIONS OF BOOKS AND MANUSCRIPTS, collections of handwritten books and early printed books, discovered in the territory of Bashkortostan. In the RB, the C.b.m. are concentrated at the Scientific Library of the Ufa Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (over 17.1 thous. items), in the Collection of Arabographic Manuscripts and Early Printed Books named after G.B.Husainov of the Institute of History, Language and Literature (over 5.7 thous., including handwritten texts — approx. 2.9 thous., early printed — over 2.7 thous.), at the Department of Manuscripts and Rare Books of the National Library named after A.Z.Validi (over 200 handwritten books and approx. 13 thous. early printed publications), in the Collection of Rare Books of the National Museum of the RB (approx. 20 handwritten and over 200 early printed books), at the Scientific Archive of the Ufa Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (approx. 200 written artifacts), at the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography, and at the Museum of Art named after M.V. Nesterov, etc. The written artifacts, associated with the culture and history of the Bashkir people, are also stored in Kazan [Scientific Library named after M.Lobachevsky of the Kazan (Volga) Federal University], in Moscow (Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts), in Orenburg (State Archive of Orenburg oblast), St.Petersburg (Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences), etc.
