TATARS CONGRESS OF BASHKORTOSTAN

TATARS CONGRESS OF BASHKORTOSTAN, a public organization established to preserve and develop national culture, language and literature of the Tatars living in the RB. Located in Ufa. Established in 1997, at the 1st Congress of the Tatars of Bashkortostan. T.C.B. is one of the founders of the World Congress of Tatars and Assembly of Peoples of the RB.

T.C.B. develops concepts on history of the Tatar language, history, literature, culture and art in Bashkortostan; holds anniversary events dedicated to memory of outstanding representatives of the Tatar people. With the assistance of T.C.B., there were established the Omet newspaper and the Tulpar magazine, annual poetry holiday, timed to the G.Tukay birthday; the Nur Theatre; the Tugan Tel (Native Language; once in 2 years) and Nauruz Guzele (Beauty Navruza; holds annually) competitions, etc. There are the RB unions of the Tatar youth (Azatlyk) and Tatar women (Sakhibjamal) under the T.C.B. Executive Committee.
