CONGRESS HALL TORATAU

CONGRESS HALL TORATAU, an architectural complex located in Ufa. Built according to the project of R.U.Mullagildin (RAUM Architects Ltd.) and Kyokazu Arai (Arai Architects) in 2007 in preparation for the 450th anniversary accession of Bash- kortostan to Russia. It is a four‑level building of complex configuration with a glazed facade, the northern part is decorated with a Bashkir ornament, and the southern part faces the Belaya (Agidel) River and the Ufa amphitheater. It has figurative design and its main planning idea and the concept of the organization of internal spaces are characterized by a symbolic intention: they embody the centuries‑old traditions of the material and spiritual culture of the Bashkirs. In the building of the Congress Hall there are: 13 multifunctional conference halls, three VIP meeting rooms, a concert hall for 745 people, three restaurants, a winter garden, office rooms, an underground parking lot, etc. Not far from it is the monument to Sa- lavat Yulayev.
