KONDRATYEV, Mikhail Leonidovich
KONDRATYEV, Mikhail Leonidovich (24.12.1905, Perm — 18.9.1984, Ufa), Actor. People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1957), and BASSR (1955), Merited Artist of the BASSR (1949). Since 1927, he worked at the Theatres of Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Smolensk, Tula, etc. Between 1940—43 and since 1947, he worked as an actor at the Republican Russian Drama Theatre (Ufa) and simultaneously as a teacher at Bashk. Theatre Art School and at USIA (70s).
The basis of the actor’s creative legacy was composed of works on social, political-public topics, where he authentically created colourful character‑oriented images. He staged a number of plays on the stage of the Russian Drama Theatre. He appeared as V.I.Lenin in many Soviet motion pictures: Hostile Whirlwinds (Mosfilm Film Studio, 1956), They Were the First (Gorky Film Studio, 1956), On Lenin’s Assignment (Uzbekfilm Film Studio, 1958), etc. Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1955).
