PRODUCT COMPETITIVENESS
PRODUCT COMPETITIVENESS, the ability of products to compete in the market with similar products of other producers; possession of competitive advantages, i.e. properties, which meet the needs of consumers at high competitive level. The presence of competing products in the region contributes to reducing the volume of imports, and increases the employment rate and living standards of the population. The main characteristic of P.c. in the region is the volume of sales on external and internal markets. Export generates more than 30% of the gross regional product of RB (2005).
