KRASNOV, Sergey Borisovich (31.8.1948 in Ufa — 16.6.2020, Ibid.), Painter. The full member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2007). People’s (2008) and Merited (1998) Artist of the RB. A representative of the analytical direction and metaphysical romanticism in the Fine Arts of Bashkortostan. K.’s creative work is characterized by the depth of content and graphical clarity of the drawings. The figurative structure of his works is built on the synthesis of the metaphor and the realistic images (Message, Gods and idols, Dreams of Eve). The basic themes of his paintings are the environment (Atomic City) and social‑political problems [triptych ABC of Genocide (ABC of Genocide, Coba Model, Requiem in the Memory of Campanella)], the coexistence of civilizations, the essence of human life and progress (Idols on Hudson, Butterfly that Creates the Universe)
