KUVATOV, Gumer Galimovich (Omar Mukhamedgalimovich; 29.6.1893, Derevnya Kuvat‑Bikberdino of Orsky Uyezd of Orenburg Gub., now Derevnya Utyagulovo of Zianchurinsky Raion of the RB, — 6.4. 1946, Moscow), Surgeon, Statesman. Participant of the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War. After graduating from the Kazan University (1917) was a Surgeon, Head of the Military Hospital, since 1919 — a Commissar of Health of the BASSR, simultaneously, since 1922 — Chairman of the Central Medical Epidemiological Emergency Commission of the Bashkir Central Executive Committee. Since 1928, he lived and worked in Moscow (until 1931 was a plenipotentiary representative of the BASSR Government in the Russian Central Executive Committee Presidium). His scientific research is dedicated to the study of human higher nervous activity. The Republican Clinical Hospital is named after K.
