KUSIMOV, Salavat Tagirovich

KUSIMOV, Salavat Tagirovich (b.8.3. 1942 in Kirovabad), Electrical Engineer. Associate Member of the AS RB (1998), Candidate of Tech. Sciences (1971), Full Professor (1991). Merited Scientist of the RB (2002), Merited Worker of Higher Vocational Education of the RF (2002), an Excellent Worker of Education of the RB (2002). Awarded with the Order of the Badge of Honour (1985, 2005), Order for Merits to the Republic of Bashkortostan (2012). A son of T.T,Kusimov. On graduation from the Moscow Energy Institute (1965) and till 1967 he worked in the District Energy Department of Bashenergo. Since 1970 (intermittently) in USATU: since 1988 ViceRector for Academic Affairs, since 1992 Rector, since 2008 President, since 2013 Advisor for the Rector. Since 2003 Deputy Chairman of the 3rd State Assembly — the Qurultay of the RB. His scientific activity is dedicated to problems of the development of educational institutions, management of complex technical facilities: opto‑mech. systems, adaprive lasar optics, etc. Deputy of the 1—3rd State Assemblies of the RB.
