KUSYUM TYULEKEYEV

KUSYUM TYULEKEYEV, one of the leaders of the 1704—11 Bashkir. Uprising (ref. Bashkir Uprisings of the 17—18th centuries). Father of Akay Kusyumov. In 1707, together with Aldar headed the rebels of Kazan and Nogay dorogas. In October, in the area of Solevarenny Gorodok (Salt Town), the K.T. and Aldar Rebel Troops crushed the P.I.Khokhlov Ufa Regiment. At the beginning of 1708, the K.T. Brigade (approx. 2 thous. people) seized Ilbakhtin Monastery, besieged Selo Yelabuga of Kazan Province of Kazan Guberniya. In June 1708, he pled guilty. At the beginning of 1709, he backed out of the Uprising. His future life events are unknown.
