KUSHNARENKOVSKY SELECTION CENTRE FOR FRUIT CULTURES AND VINE, an experimental base of the Bashkir Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture in the field of fruit growing and plant selection. Specializes in the creation of varieties and hybrids of fruit crops, development and implementation of scientifically based technologies of production of fruits. Located in Selo Kushnarenkovo of Kushnarenkovsky Raion. It was established in 1926 as a Toporninsky Experimental Pomology Station, since 1936, it is a Bashkir Fruit and Berry Experimental Station, since 1956, it is a Kushnarenkovsky Experimental Garden. The current name — since 2002. The agricultural land area is 1,112 ha, including 1,038 ha of arable land. More than 100 varieties of fruit and berry crops were created in the selection centre, the recommendations for implementation of introduced fruit crops (Japanese quince, honeysuckle, rosehips, etc.), pear and currant varieties and others were developed. The number of planting material items grown and sold annually (thousand pieces): fruit — more than 4, currants — 5, strawberry — 5, vine — 3, raspberries — 3, uncommon — 3. The selection centre uses the scientific finding of G.A.Mansurov, L.N.Strelyaeva and others.
